We appreciate that choosing a plan best suited to a client’s needs (from the complex range of products on offer) can be daunting. We can therefore help to select the right kind of pension with a view to optimising the benefits.
Our independent advice is backed-up with clear explanations, detailed product and investment analysis and ongoing support prior to, and during, retirement.
A client’s nominated retirement fund need not comprise solely of pension plans and can also encompass other forms of investment such as bonds, property, shares, ISAs and OEICs; the combination of which can be used to provide the desired stream of tax efficient income (and altered to suit).
A typical client will already have one or more pension plans and will therefore benefit from a review of their ongoing suitability. Older pension contracts in particular may have attractive features / benefits that could be overlooked otherwise.
At the point of drawing upon the pension benefits we can again explain and advise on the options available.
The pension landscape changed radically from the 6 April 2015, and the role of a financial adviser has never been more important in ensuring that a client considers all of the options available, and makes the right decisions on accumulating and drawing upon retirement provisions.
